John Brandt

.....John H. Brandt, 55, is a long time creator of custom gear for studio and the stage, as well as a seasoned veteran behind the board, working in major studios in Europe and the USA. John has also walked down both sides of the road with studio and live sound experience. Called into live sound work for a European concert tour in 1974, John liked the idea of living in Europe and found work as guitar tech for Jeremy Spencer (Fleetwood Mac) and mix engineer for several touring groups, including assistant engineer at ABC recording studios in Paris. He soon opened a Leicester (UK) based repair shop while maintaining some freelance studio and live sound work, which included engineering at Bobby Solo's studio near Rome.
.....Moving back to his home state of Texas in 1980, JHB Sound Productions was started, providing sound for many acts, including The Judds, Michael Martin Murphy and Tanya Tucker. Wanting to get back into the studio, John moved to Branson, Missouri in 1986 to take up the role of chief engineer for Bob Millsap at his Ironside Studios. Changing gears once more, John moved to Nashville in 1989 to found Brandt Audio Devices, which provided solutions to custom gear requests. The company also did countless equipment modifications and designing and installing for more than 25 studios in the Nashville area, and provided consulting for countless others in search of improving their sound.
.....The latest move has been to Michigan. Seeing the largely untapped Detroit market, John built his own studio in 2002. With time now on his own terms, a full line of unique new products have been developed for studio use. Standing on his principles of simple is best for any audio path and to overbuild everything to last using only the highest grade leading edge components, Organic Audio has now launched its exciting new audio products into the public domain.
